Great sale discount on a great shotgun, big manufacturer rebate on that gun, another $100 coupon for using my Cabelas credit card, a $15 coupon when I spent the $100 one the next day. All that savings together with helpful outfitters at the gun counter made my trip there a top shelf experience.

Busy as hell as usual. If your shopping big box stores its still my preferred place to shop over Bass Pro. Gun check out needs work. It ain't hard nor unusual to take an hour to check out after a background check has been done. Whatever you do don't come here on the weekend and try to buy a gun. Overall most if the staff us pretty friendly. Beware the gun library, you tend to get robbed on trades and raped on sales. Used guns here tend to be way overpriced. I've found used guns marked for the same price or higher then the exact same new one behind the counter. That is not an exaggeration.

Absolute waste of my time, at first I walked in and couldn’t get our gun checked in because a staff member kept pushing about their club card when I said no 15 times. I had bought a used Ruger GP100 a week before and it would not fire correctly and we were within Cabela’s 10 day warranty and brought it back to return it and was met with a staff member in the gun library and it turned out to be a manager who tried to tell me I would have to wait to have it sent in for repair. I specifically asked about the refund and was met with a dodging reference saying we’d have to wait to get it looked at. Which at this point was tying up 600 dollars over a gun I can’t have in my hands and no longer want, of all people the manager should respect what I wanted. I asked about a specific return for my money back because I didn’t want it and the manager told me I wouldn’t get a tax break for it and it’d be a waste of time and I told him I was done waiting and he left me and got another assistant to help us who asked me in a sarcastic tone “So you couldn’t find anything else here that you wanted?” And then finally gave us our money back. I will never come to a Cabela’s again...

To be honest, my experience was very poor. Customer service dept was helpful with my club card but otherwise the staff was rude an not knowledgeable. I had to ask, literally, 4 associates where the safety harnesses were. No one seemed to know. The shotgun slug selection was slim to none. When I asked the gun dept about replacement trigger pins for an 870, they just said, “nope, don’t have’m.”
