It is not very often that one can have a "pain-free- auto repair experience. It is pleasant to be able to say ..."this is the one". This couple does what needs to be done without trying to make their living off one job/ one consumer. I am pleased to say, I will always frequent this shop with my Mercedes-Benz repairs. They exemplify the true essence of fairness and Christianity.
Ed was recommended to me by the Mercedes Club. He spent many years as a fully certified MB mechanic before striking out on his own. He has ALL the MB software and diagnostic tools, and only uses MB parts, not aftermarket. He has worked on my 2004 SL55 since the warranty ran out 10 years ago. I write this because of my most recent repair. Ed changed a bad engine mount 2 weeks ago. In moving the engine, a vacuum line was unknowingly pinched (not closed). That slight compromise in vacuum affected the idle, which ran a few hundred RPM high. No check engine lights, nothing on the diagnostics. Took it to the dealership and their lead mechanic confirmed Ed's findings - nothing. Ed spent almost a week troubleshooting and contacting MB experts. Today/Saturday, he discovered the slight pinch and fixed it, then delivered the car across town to my house and left it in my driveway, no charge. It's back to running perfectly. I call that above and beyond the call of duty. 5 stars is not enough!
